Junior Girl Scouts: Playing the Past

​Help your Junior Girl Scouts complete their Playing the Past badge by visiting the History Museum's Play: The Golden Age of Toys exhibit. Learn more about this exhibit by clicking here

BSA: Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge

Discover the past life of this National Register of Historic Places building by exploring our new Castle Curious pop-up exhibit. Scouts will learn about the museum's prior life as a Masonic Temple, look for hidden symbols, and explore the building's unique architecture. A guided tour is available upon request for an additional $1/scout.

Cub Scouts - Tigers: Collections and Hobbies Badge

Tiger Scouts can complete requirement 3a for the Collections and Hobbies badge by visiting the museum and exploring our exhibits. A guided tour of exhibits or our collections facility (Behind the Scenes Tour) is available upon request for an additional $1/scout.

Please note the museum does not provide badges.

Ongoing Experiences

The Museum offers at-home kits  for Cub Scouts. Complete the requirements on your own at home or on a video call with your packs and dens! Kits will be ready in 7-10 business days from the date they are ordered. Museum staff will contact all registrants to schedule a time for pick up.

Bears: Marble Madness Elective Adventure
Let’s get rolling and learn about marbles! Play a game, design a marble maze, and more! This kit helps scouts complete all of Marble Madness (Requirements 1-8). All supplies needed for this badge are included in these kits.

Tigers: Curiosity, Intrigue, and Magical Mysteries Elective Adventure
Who better to learn magic from than Harry Houdini? Create an invitation to a magic show where you will perform a trick you learned, crack a secret code, and learn about the science of magic. This kit helps scouts complete all requirements (1-8). All supplies needed for this program are included in these kits.
