The museum's walking tours are great for convention-goers as a fun and interactive introduction to local history. Tours can begin at the Paper Valley Hotel, Lawrence University, Copper Leaf Hotel, or the Museum. $10.00 per person for walking tours. Tour packages can include visiting the Museum’s exhibits for an additional fee of $4.00 per person
Historic Pub Crawl
Put on your walking shoes for a tour of downtown Appleton's historic pubs. The tour will stop inside four taverns and highlight others noted for their individuality and preservation. Pull up a stool inside taverns frequented by Sen. Joseph McCarthy, admire Victorian back bars and hear the stories and gossip behind each location.
Price does not include drinks. About 2 hours.
Houdini’s Appleton – Or Simply Illusion?
Join a guided tour of the sites associated with the myths and reality of Houdini’s life in Appleton. Houdini claimed the city to be his birthplace, but he was actually born in 1874 in Budapest, Hungary. We will explore his brief life in Appleton by visiting where his childhood home once stood, sites of fictional magical feats, and his father’s synagogue. Explore the city that Houdini called home.

Museum Self-Guided Tours
Visit the Museum's award winning exhibits on a self-guided tour. Groups of 10 or more that schedule in advance get a reduced admission rate of $5.50 per person. Includes full access to the Museum's galleries, including popular exhibits such as AKA Houdini, Tools of Change and current temporary exhibits. Each tour has a brief introduction to the exhibits, amenities and the historic building. Learn about our exhibits here.

Step-On Bus Tours
All bus tours begin at the Museum. $10.00 per person. Tour packages can include visiting the museum’s exhibits for an additional fee of $4.00 per person. The museum does not have a bus and the tour group is responsible for arranging transportation.
Explore The Crescent City
Get to know the City of Appleton on a guided bus tour! Museum staff will lead tour participants on a street exploration up to 20 sites and give historical background on some of the notable people, places and events that shaped Appleton today. Learn why the Fox Valley is known as the Paper Valley, and see where Appleton celebrities, such as Harry Houdini, Edna Ferber, and Joseph McCarthy, called home.
Tour group is responsible for arranging transportation.

Appleton's Black History
Learn about local African American history on a bus tour that visits nine sites in Appleton's Third Ward, downtown business district, and City Park neighborhood. Participants will learn about early Black business owners, community leaders, and Civil War veterans, as well as how the Klu Klux Klan and a sundown custom excluded Blacks from settling in the city for half a century. Tour Group is responsible for arranging transportation. About 1.5 hours.
