In addition to the self-exploration of the museum, groups can add on one of the following programs for $1 per visitor. If your group size exceeds 30 people, we can work with you to divide the group and schedule programs accordingly. All guided tours are about 30 minutes long.

Fox Cities ABCs
Join us for a tour of our newest exhibit: Fox Cities ABCs. Students will explore how transportation, communication, and recreation have changed over time. Other topics students may discuss include immigration, elections, and American culture.

Hometown Houdini (Youth tour only)
Children will take a guided tour through our AKA Houdini exhibit, discovering fun facts about Houdini’s career, family, and childhood in Appleton.

Model Train Presentation
Join History Museum volunteer Gordon Lind as you explore the model train in our Tools of Change exhibit. Gordon spent 19 years building this train to look like Appleton did in 1951. Look for iconic Appleton buildings, find the firemen getting the cat out of the tree, and listen to Gordon's experiences building the train.

Behind the Scenes Tour
Guests get a chance to see the Museum’s collections storage rooms—usually off-limits to visitors—and learn what the Museum collects and how we preserve the artifacts that we use in our exhibits.
