Get your students out of the classroom to see the city! During these fun programs, we hop on your bus and take your students on a history adventure throughout Appleton.
The group is responsible for bus transportation; the museum does not have a bus. When you request a bus, please also request a microphone/PA system for the docent to use.
Length: 1 hour
Capacity: up to 60 students
Rates: $5 per student or minimum of $100
1 chaperone for every 8 students is free, additional chaperones will pay the adult group rate
Programs
Appleton History Highlights Tour
Guided by Museum staff, this bus tour takes students through the City of Appleton, highlighting points of local history.
Recommended Grade Level: 2nd-5th*
Black History Bus Tour
Bring your class on a bus tour of historical sites associated with Appleton's historic black community and the Civil Rights Era.
Recommended Grade Level: 5th-12th*
To Book A Program
Email our Education & Collections Manager, Erin Comer (Erin@myhistorymuseum.org) and include the following information:
- Your School's name
- Your School's mailing address
- How many students will be attending
- The students' grade level
- How many teachers will be attending
- How many chaperones will be attending
- At least 2 days that work for you to schedule the program
- Times that work for you to schedule the program
Once we receive all of this information, we will confirm a date and time for the program and send you an invoice.
