Tojo Tojo
acted as Prime Minister, War Minister, and Home Affairs Minister
of Japan from 1941 to 1944. He supported Japanese rule in East Asia
through the establishment of a regional "co-prosperity sphere."
He supported invasions of Korea and China, and an attack on the
United States. Justices of the International Military Tribunal for
the Far East sentenced Tojo to death for his involvement in Japanese
atrocities.
